Workshop description:
Kanban is a key component of most Lean Manufacturing strategies.
It is a simple replenishment system that is triggered by real demand.
Since the trigger is based on a real time need, it is accurate and effective and not susceptible to data-entry delay, data-entry error. Kanban works well when integrated with visual systems.
In this workshop participants use their own plant for class projects and will learn how to design the system, containers, signals and stock areas and calculate Kanban quantities and lot sizes.
Benefits:
- Reduce inventory
- Eliminate overproduction
- Displace massive computers
- Reduce overhead
- Improve both service and quality
